When I first started internet marketing, I read a lot of stuff just to get started and make some bucks as soon as possible but I later realized that there is a lot to it than I thought.

I started with promoting herbal sexual enhancer products because it was a lot easier than going for the more lucrative niches as a result of tough competition and I was just a starter.

I made a few mistakes and got punished for them in a number of ways from banning me or my sites de-indexed. I learnt from my mistakes.

I got to understand that most guys out there have one thing in common – they talk a lot without revealing a single thing. A lot of rambling without a good point and they all promise to make you rich in a matter of days. Maybe there are such tools but I have not yet seen a single one.

What I know for sure is that as soon as any major search engine displays your website on its first page, you start to get visitors and if you are good enough to offer them what you are promoting on your site, then there is a possibility that some of them might buy and you make a commission.

How Then Do You Get Your Site Listed On The First Page?
Simple. Do your SEO(Search Engine Optimization) home work. This SEO thing may be a little tricky or simple depending on your line of approach. There is the On Page SEO and the Off Page. Both are important to get you ranked higher.

The On Page SEO.
On page SEO is what you put on your web pages. They say content is king. Yes I agree but then the contents on your pages must be of high quality. This will be addressed on this blog.

The Off Page SEO.
The most important aspect of off page search engine optimization is building links back to your sites and web pages. Back links are a sort of other websites “VOTING” for your site like saying “I vote for this page. The more links you get, the higher your sites rank.

Now not all links are equal.
I remember my friend once said “It is not the same thing when your product is advertized on our national TV or on CNN”. What I am saying is that the weight of your links depends on where those links come from. Link from a low quality site and you have practically done nothing but if you link to your site from a well recognized and authoritative site, your rank sky rockets.

I learned the hard way and I am prepared to share the little I know. I under no circumstances classify myself as an expert.

One thing I am sure of and that is I will not mislead you to the best of my ability. I just write about my experiences and will outline the bad and good experiences whenever I get the chance.
